Level 1A or Parent and Tot? 

Level 1A Minimum Age: 3.5 yrs old. Swim Safe Level 1A is for beginner swimmers who are ready to learn independently with an instructor and are comfortable being away from their parent during class. 

We strive for all our swimmers to be happy and have a positive experience at Swim Safe.

Visual learners are often not willing to go with an instructor and need a little but more parent interactions to feel comfortable in a new environment. 

Our Parent and Tot class teaches you how to teach your swimmer our 1A skills prior to having an instructor only led class. Our Parent and Tot instructors are knowledgeable, can provide confidence and can enhance both you and your child’s experience with us. It also gives your swimmer an opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor while you are still close by. 

Timing is everything. Your lesson schedule is an important factor. Your 3-year-old might be happy in the morning or afternoon, but by 6:00pm they might have had a busy day and are looking for connection with you. We find our young swimmers can be fine with an instructor one day, and not the next. 

They may be happy in your backyard pool with your family, but Swim Safe is a very busy environment that can be overwhelming to our 3- and 4-year-old swimmers.

If your child is a visual learner and would benefit from seeing the facility at lesson time, check our schedule to see when we are teaching. Check in at the front desk and let us know that you are viewing the facility for the first time.

If your swimmer is not ready to be away from you, and is not happy leaving you at the gate, please enroll in Parent and Tot.
